Every gym leader is far stronger the second time around, so here's how you can best prepare for your rematch in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While the first half of the movie was a retelling/reboot of the first season of Pokémon and Ash’s rocky start to his relationship with Pikachu, it was a decent reboot that ran through the basics quickly while adding new characters and storylines that were intriguing as well. The legendary Pokémon, Ho-Oh, drops a rainbow wing that Ash catches, prompting him and Pikachu to go after the legendary. It’s revealed that whoever has the rainbow wing is considered the ‘Rainbow Hero’ and is destined to battle Ho-Oh. Ash and his newfound group, another trainer (Verity), and an aspiring Professor (Sorrel), make it to Mt. However, this isn't a simple repeat of your first fight with them. So long as you've gotten all the badges, beaten the Elite Four, and become the Champion, you'll be given the option to challenge all the gym leaders to a rematch. You won't have to restart your entire adventure to get another crack at facing off against your favorite gym leaders, though. Once you've done all that, however, you might be at a loss for challenging opponents to battle in Paldea. This has been the main goal of essentially all mainline Pokémon games and is just as fun to complete this generation as ever before. One of these main quests is the familiar journey to beat all eight gym leaders, claim their badges, defeat the Elite Four, and become the region's Pokémon League Champion. This not only adds variety, but plenty more content to do after you accomplish any single task. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet offer trainers three unique quests to pursue through the new Paldea region. Once you are past that point, you will automatically get a call from Jacq telling you about an annual trip to Kitakami that you, as it just so happens, will be chosen to attend. You will need to either play up through, or have a save already past, The First Day of School chapter. How to access The Teal Mask DLC Pokémon CompanyĪfter purchasing and installing the DLC for your specific version of Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, either load up your save or start a new game. This won’t take long, so here’s how to access The Teal Mask in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet so you can continue your Pokémon journey. Because it’s integrated directly into the main game, and not an option you can select from the menu, you will need to know how to reach the DLC. This initial adventure will take your trainer to the Land of Kitakami, but excited trainers might be at a loss for how to actually access the new area and content. Both DLCs will introduce new places, items, moves, and, most importantly, Pokémon to catch, train, and befriend. The first of two announced DLC expansions for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has hit, called The Teal Mask.
